Julius + Nasha's Club Continental Wedding

There’s something so special about weddings that happen during the holiday season. They feel just a bit more festive and joyful, and we think that’s due in part to everyone’s positive spirit! Last year was filled with so much heartache for so many, so we felt particularly fortunate each and every time we were able to plan and celebrate with our couples. It only felt fitting for 2020 to end with a soiree during the holiday season for one of the kindest couples! Today, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Nasha and Julius.

Nasha and Julius celebrated their wedding day in our home city of Jacksonville, Florida. But, it’s not their home city! Nasha currently resides in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands- Julius recently moved to Jax for work and Nasha is joining him soon! Because they’re from such a beautiful location, we knew we wanted to infuse their wedding with plenty of tropical accents and details. And, their color palette was one way to do just that! A color palette of pink, peach, and yellow was carried throughout their day, particularly in their florals designed by A Fantasy in Flowers. We adored Nasha’s bright bridal bouquet, and their tall reception centerpieces that were accented with palms.

Although details played a part in their day, Nasha and Julius placed a beautiful focus on their families. Due to COVID-19, all of their guests couldn’t attend the wedding. Some were able to travel to Jacksonville, but we also put Zoom to great use to make sure everyone felt like they had a part in celebrating this sweet pair starting with their ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

As Nasha walked down the aisle toward Julius, we couldn’t help but feel so happy for them. Then as they were officially pronounced as husband and wife, we felt even more excited! Post vows, they captured photos with their photographer, Jen of J. Mosley Photography, before joining together with their guests for their reception at Club Continental.

As we mentioned, their reception design was filled with color, and plenty of heartfelt moments. Speeches occurred in person and over Zoom, and we couldn’t help but tear up as we listened to the stories Nasha and Julius’s loved ones shared about them. We also have to note how much we loved witnessing their first dance; Julius’s emotion was so sweet to see.

As the celebration came to a close and the final song played, guests gathered outside to wish Nasha and Julius well. And, we have to note we were sad to see this wedding come to a close!

Congratulations again, Nasha and Julius! We loved planning your wedding day with you.
